For sale here is an Orvis SSS “Tarpon” 11-12 fly reel (I’m told SSS stood for “saltwater, salmon & steelhead).This reel was produced by STH, manufactured in Argentina and last made in 1988. Palmable rim.21/2 to1 multiplying gear ratio. Machined from aircraft grade aluminum.Anodized black and gold. Teflon & cork drag system. All parts are made of corrosion resistant materials. Right hand retrieve. Anti-reverse. Adjustable drag.Excellent working condition. 3 3/4″ diameter, 1 3/16″ wide spool and weighs 10 1/4oz. Capacity WF12 plus 300 yards of 30# backing.
